Defence Office Manager (Fixed term)
The Defence Section at the AUSTRALIAN EMBASSY is seeking a highly motivated team player with superior organisational skills and proven experience in office management to work as the Defence Office Manager (Fixed term).
The Defence Office Manager must professionally coordinate the administrative needs of the Defence Section Tokyo working closely with Australian and Japanese staff across the Embassy. This involves managing budgets, personnel, property, travel, visits, events and other administrative processes.
The applicant must have advanced business level English and Japanese written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of the Australian Department of Defence or an international organisation is desirable for this position.
Research Officer (Trade and Economic)
The Trade Policy Section of the Australian Embassy is seeking a highly motivated professional to provide ongoing research and analysis on trade, economic and environmental policy issues in Japan. The successful applicant must have tertiary qualifications, demonstrated interpretation/translation skills and experience in research and analysis. He or she must be a strong team player and able to liaise effectively with business and government organisations.
