Gender equality in the workplace – Australia participates in the 23rd International Conference for Women in Business

22 July 2018

Libby Lyons, Director of the Workplace Gender Equality Agency, joins “The 23rd International Conference for Women in Business” organised by ewoman as a guest speaker at a roundtable discussing leadership and how to manage different nationalities, genders and customs to provide inclusiveness.
The annual International Conference for Women in Business is one of the largest business conferences in Japan, inviting influential guests from Japan and overseas to share their views on women and business, drawing upon their own experiences as professionals within their respective work fields.
The day’s activities include speeches and interactive roundtables, with opportunities for attendees to chat with guest speakers and other like-minded individuals looking to expand their network, making it an enriching experience for all those involved.

Libby is scheduled to take part in a panel discussion titled ”Outcome of Diversity Management” during the plenary session. Please click here for the program details.
Libby has held senior positions in companies such as Atlas Iron, CITIC Pacific Mining, Alcoa Australia, the Western Power Corporation and Telstra.
Libby has been working for the Workplace Gender Equality Agency since October 2015, where she is focused on working with employers to create workplaces in which the skills, experience and ambitions of employees are equally recognised and rewarded, regardless of their gender.
