Visits and Protocol Officer (TK009)

THE AUSTRALIAN EMBASSY is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to act as the embassy Visits & Protocol Officer. 

Main responsibilities include organising senior official visits to Japan, by facilitating travel arrangements and liaising with hotels, businesses, the Japanese government and others, and the production of program booklets. 

The position liaises closely with Ministry of Foreign Affairs on protocol matters associated with visits and diplomatic accreditation issues. It also supports official events, such as the National Day function, at the Embassy.

The position requires fluency in both English and Japanese. If you have superior organisational skills and demonstrated competence in complex administrative operations, the ability to effectively communicate and negotiate at a senior level, an understanding of Japanese protocol and are a strong team player please refer to the position description and the LES Conditions of Service.
