Job Ref – 0920/2025: Senior Research Officer (Climate and Energy)

The Australian Embassy is seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Officer to assist in progressing matters on behalf of the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW). Working within a small team, the successful applicant will work within and among teams on cross-cutting issues, and also provide ongoing advice, research, and analysis on the Australia–Japan climate and energy relationship. The position will also require liaison, coordination, visit management, and administrative support on current and emerging issues.
As a senior research officer, this position is expected to be proactive, deliver results with limited supervision, represent DCCEEW and the Embassy in a range of meetings and advise the Counsellor (Trade and Economic) accordingly.
