2023 Maria Fernanda Cardoso at the Oku-Noto Triennale

Sydney-based artist Maria Fernanda Cardoso strategically utilised natural resources such as pinecones, camellias and water chestnuts growing in the local area of Suzu City for her artwork exhibition at the Triennale, which took place across 23 September-12 November 2023 in Ishikawa.

2022 Heather B. Swann + Nonda Katsalidis at the Setouchi Triennale 2022

Australian artists, Heather B. Swann + Nonda Katsalidis installed their permanent work “Place for sea dreamers” on Teshima island as part of the Setouchi Triennale 2022.

The work which is a cast iron bench shaped like a dugout yet reminiscent of a fishing net, is placed on the beach. It provides a spot for locals and travellers from afar to sit and gaze at the scenery, feeling close to the sea and sky as they let their thoughts drift.

2021 'Reversible Destiny: Australian and Japanese contemporary photography' exhibition at the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum

“Reversible Destiny" the exhibition, is a group show of Australian and Japanese artists showcasing the diversity of culture in both countries whilst enabling Australian artists to bring a global perspective and awareness to the international arena.

2021 Tom Mùller's work at Northern Alps Art Festival 2020-2021

Responding to the festival's concept "Water, Trees, Earth, Sky", the artist installed his work "Fountainhead" creating a waterfall from a huge monolithic rock and an occasional fog that invokes the spirit of the rock.
