 Science Circus Tour Japan 2018

Questacon will tour a Science Circus, hands-on, science exhibition to various locations in western Japan in partnership with the Osaka Science Museum, Australian National University,  Japan Science Museum Association, Miraikan and other regional science centres.

Australian and Japanese science communicators will work in partnership to develop and deliver science shows to schools and community groups. These collaborations will build science engagement capacity, with presenters sharing their skills, demonstrations and techniques. The five-week tour will take place in Osaka, Nagoya, Nara and Kochi in Western Japan after an official launch in Osaka on 12 October.

Touring Exhibits and Science Show
Osaka
Venue: Osaka city Central Library 5F Conference Room
Date: 13 October – 21 October 10am-4pm (13 October: only open from 1pm-4pm, Closed on 18 October)
*Science Show will only take place on 20 and 21 October.

Nara
Venue: Nara City Hall
Dates: 27 and 28 October

Nagoya
Venue: Nagoya City Science Museum
Dates: 3 and 4 November

Kochi
Venue: Kochi Mirai Science Center
Dates: 8–11 November
*Science Show will only take place on 10 and 11 November.

The 2018 Science Circus Tour Japan is run in collaboration with the Osaka Science Museum, the Centre for Public Awareness of Science at the Australian National University and supported by the Australia–Japan Foundation and the Australian Capital Territory Government.
