THE FROCK by Graeme Murphy & Mature Artists Dance Experience

"THE FROCK" by Graeme Murphy & Mature Artists Dance Experience

28-30 September 2018
Saitama Arts Theatre

Mature Artist Dance Experience (MADE), a unique dance company formed with mature dancers (many of whom only began dancing in their later years!) will arrive from Tasmania to perform in Japan! MADE was formed in 2005 in Hobart, Tasmania, and has created and presented contemporary dance-theatre performances interpreted by mature adults.

During their visit to Japan, MADE will perform a full-length dance piece "THE FROCK", especially tailored for the troupe by Australia’s own world-renown choreographer, Graeme Murphy. It will vivaciously illustrate a collection of memories shared by older women. Australia, much like Japan, has been facing a rapid growth of ageing population, where MADE activities have attracted substantial attention. Through contemporary dance they celebrate the phenomenon of ageing and the knowledge and artistry maturity brings.

Date and Times:

28 September 7pm
29 September 4pm
30 September 4pm

"THE FROCK" by Graeme Murphy & Mature Artists Dance Experience is supported by the Australian Government through the Australia-Japan Foundation of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
