Australia and Japan have strong ties in the field of agriculture. Tom Krijnen from the Embassy’s Agriculture team recently hosted Professor Takumi Sakuyama and a group of students from Meiji University about Australia’s agricultural trade exports.
Professor Sakuyama previously worked on the trade negotiations between Australia and Japan while he was at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. The students were very enthusiastic and had a very interactive questions and answers session.
