Child Passport Renewals for eligible applicants* can be lodged via postal mail.
(*Children who have previously held an Australian passport and are aged up to and including 15 years old)
Note: If you are applying for a First Child Passport or a Child Passport where the applicant is aged 16 or 17 years old, the postal lodgement option is not available.

Child Passports cannot be renewed with a streamlined renewal form, a full regular application form is required.

Print the form single sided using the "fit to page" setting to ensure the whole page prints correctly

(Australian citizen or foreign citizen currently employed in approved occupation) -
Complete parental consent page by both parents (or original court order for exemption)

2 Australian Passport photos (Endorsed and signed by the Guarantor on the back of 1 photo)

Strict Photograph Guidelines apply. (Blue background is NOT acceptable, photobooth photos are NOT acceptable, glasses are NOT acceptable, removal of background colour is NOT acceptable)

Do not attach photos to application form. Attaching photos to the application form with glue, paperclips, staples or bulldog clips can mark or damage the photo making them unusable

Send the documents to us via postal mail. If you wish to track your application or confirm we received it, please use a form of registered mail (kannikakitome / kakitome / Letter Pack etc).

Once we receive your documents, we will charge your credit card and email you the receipt. The processing time will start from this day. Please note incomplete applications will cause delays.
